In winter as well as summer, the Aurina Valley is a wonderful outdoor playground for visitors. The area around Lutago with its unspoiled snow-covered landscape is perfect for ski mountaineering and snowshoeing, cross-country skiing on well-tended trails, and alpine skiing on the many kilometres of slopes. Skiing in and around Lutago

The free ski bus whisks you to the world of skiing in just a few minutes.
The two ski areas in Skiworld Ahrntal, Monte Spicco and Klausberg, together with the ski facilities at Rio Bianco and Riva di Tures, provide a total of 74 kilometres of slopes and 21 modern ski lifts. Special highlight: the Funtaklaus Snowpark on Mount Klausberg is a real hit with freestylers. But Mount Spicco also offers some surprises ...

Sledging

Lutago toboggan run

This well-tended toboggan run starts from the ski resort of Monte Spicco and runs for 10 km. It has the distinction of being one of the longest toboggan runs in South Tyrol, and also of taking you right into the centre of the village of Lutago.

The Rio Bianco natural toboggan run

The popular Rio Bianco natural toboggan run is 3.9 km long. The walk up to the top takes about an hour, but there are three mountain huts along the trail (Malga Innerhofer, Malga Marxegger, Malga Pircher), where you can stop for a pleasant break.

Casere and Santo Spirito: cross-country trails from 3 to 10 km long

Culture and Tradition

Lutago is home to the Maranatha Nativity Scene Museum: a very special experience!
Make sure you see the beautiful nativity scene with life-size wooden figures, all set out under a starry sky. The whole display covers an area of 70 m².
